The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) (excluding joint ventures and operating companies) drilled 59,000 meters in January-May compared to about 80,000 meters in January-May 2009, the company reported.
The company drilled 12,750 meters in May compared to 14,968 meters in May last year.
In 2009, SOCAR drilled 168,200 meters compared to about 203,000 meters in 2008. In 2007 this figure was 190,376 meters.
