Turkmenistan auctions about 90,000 tons of oil products

Turkmenistan auctioned over 90,000 tons of oil products from the Turkmenbashi refinery, and refineries in the Saydi and Nayip gas-processing complex today at the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange.

The country put as stock trades about 60,000 tons of liquefied gas, 3,000 tons of polypropylene, 30,000 tons of fuel oil.

Last week at the auction of the national stock exchanges recorded over 30 transactions.

Businessmen from Russia, Afghanistan and Iran bought polypropylene and jet fuel. Traditionally, the main buyers are also the companies from UK, Afghanistan, Switzerland, Iran, Virgin Islands, Holland, Russia, Kazakhstan and other countries. The total amount of contracts, including the production of other economic sectors has exceeded $112 million.

The Commodity Exchange is a principal organ of state regulation of export-import operations in Turkmenistan.
