Energy Minister: Georgia not intends to sell main gas pipeline

Government is not going to sell main gas pipeline, the Georgian Energy Minister Alexander Khetaguri said.

The Georgian Government is not going to sell main gas pipeline, the Georgian Energy Minister Alexander Khetaguri said.

"Probably 25 percent of the shares of the Oil and Gas Corporation will be placed on the London Stock Exchange. Regarding the sale, Georgia is not going to sell any gas pipeline," Khetaguri told journalists after the governmental meeting today.

Earlier President of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Rovnag Abdullayev stated about SOCAR's interest in participation in energy projects in Georgia. According to him, SOCAR is interested in all energy projects in neighboring countries, including in Georgia.
