Ekol Muhendislik Xidmetleri and BP tested a Germany-made Facet separator as part of an project to clean oil-polluted water caused by drilling operations, the Azerbaijani company's website reported today.
Testing was conducted as part of the BP tender for waste management, which was won by joint venture AAS-Ekol, whose parent company is Ekol.
BP representatives were pleased with the results of testing.
The co-owners of Ekol Muhendislik Xidmetleri, created in 2006 to solve environmental problems in the Absheron peninsula, are SOCAR with a 51 percent stake and Lancer SA Services with a 49 percent stake.
