The International Energy Agency (IEA) predicts the increase in world oil demand up to 99 million bpd by 2035 compared to 84 million bpd in 2009.
According to the IEA's report-2010 World Energy Outlook, the main source of growth in world oil demand are the countries-OECD non-members.
The world oil production in 2035 is projected by IEA at 96 million barrels per day. By 2020, it will reach 68-69 million barrels a day.
More than a half of the world oil will fall to the OPEC in 2035. A big share of the OPEC oil production will fall to Iraq, where production levels will hit 7 million barrels per day by 2035.
IEA predicts an increase in demand for initial energy by 36 percent - from 12.3 billion tons of oil equivalent in 2008 up to 16.7 billion tons of oil equivalent in 2035. Roughly 93 percent of global demand for energy will fal to the OECD non-members. China's share in the world energy demand will increase up to 22 percent from the current 17 percent by 2035.
