President of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) Rovnag Abdullayev met with a delegation of the Canton of Geneva, which arrived in Baku to attend the Azerbaijani-Swiss business forum.
Abdullayev informed the guests about Azerbaijan's achievements in the energy sector in recent years, SOCAR said on Wednesday. Abdullayev said now at the state level special attention is also paid to the non-oil sector, and frequent business forums in Azerbaijan are of great importance.
According to Pierre-François Unger, Minister of Economy and Health of the Canton of Geneva, SOCAR-Trading" dealing with sale of oil and oil products in Geneva, has won favor of business circles of Switzerland and entire Europe. He said Switzerland is interested in expanding this cooperation.
The meeting was also attended by the Swiss Ambassador to Azerbaijan Sabine Ulmann Shaban.
