President of SOCAR (State Oil Company of Azerbaijan) Rovnag Abdullayev on Friday received the United Kingdom's newly appointed Ambassador to Azerbaijan Peter Bateman, the company said in a statement.
At the meeting, Bateman said that effective cooperation was built between British companies and SOCAR and expressed confidence that it would be further intensified.
Abdullaev noted that long-term cooperation between BP and SOCAR has made great contribution to the development of economic relations between the two countries and appreciated the prospects for expanding this cooperation.
The parties also discussed other issues.
