Iran to export gas to Europe via Turkey: NIGC chief
Managing Director of National Iranian Gas Company (NIGC) Javad Ouji said that Iran's gas will be exported to Europe via Turkey, IRNA reported.
'Iran has obtained the necessary permissions from Turkish officials for transit of Iran's gas from Turkey,' Ouji said at a press conference in Tehran on Thursday.
While rejecting the rumors pertaining to Pakistan's request for revoking its contract with Iran, he pointed out that Iran's contract with Pakistan becomes operational from 2014 and Pakistan wants to increase the level of its gas export from Iran by amending the contract.
'For the first time, we have injected 12 million cubic meters of sweet gas to oil fields. We have also exported 32 million cubic meters per day which shows a 24-percent increase as compared with the previous year,' Ouji added.
