The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) will complete three-dimensional geophysical studies in the area between the prospective structure Bahar-2 and Gum Deniz field in the Azerbaijani sector of Caspian Sea in a few months within the contract with Bahar Energy company, a source in SOCAR told Trend today.
Earlier, SOCAR conducted two-dimensional studies in this area. The parties signed the contract to implement 3D-seismic operations.
The source said that the work has been launched within the contract. But the weather conditions hamper their continuation.
