Pavlodar Petrochemical Plant to increase capacity to seven million tons per year

An area has been provided on the site of the Pavlodar Petrochemical Plant (PPCP) for the construction of a new installation to increase its processing capacity to seven million tons, CEO of PPCP Shukhrat Danbai told Trend on Tuesday.

"An area has been provided on the plant site where a new modern installation will be constructed which will increase the processing capacity from five million to seven million tons per year," Mr Danbai said.

He said the construction of a new installation will be conducted under the state programme on upgrading three Kazakh oil refineries worth $4 billion by 2015. Some $1.6 billion is envisaged for upgrading the Pavlodar plant.

"All the work on upgrading our plant will be completed by 2015. Upon its completion, we will achieve three indicators: to provide deep processing up to 90 per cent reach refining capacity at seven million tons and produce products up to Euro-5 standards," Mr Danbai said.
