LK 5/3 conveyor belt in fuel and transport shop was put into operation at Ekibastuz thermal power station after reconstruction, the enterprise said on Monday. The main task of the fuel and transport shop of the Ekibastuz thermal power station is continuous provision of power units with fuel.
Conveyor belt supplying coal storehouse is fully renewed; bases of post of backup abutments and girders are strengthened and metalled. Obsolete tents of gallery and conveyer belt are changed. Big volume of work was done to replace process water pipelines.
Timely modernization and technical re-equipment of aggregates allow power engineering specialists of the thermal power plant to provide customers with electricity.
3/2 A conveyor belt collapsed in late November, 2010. Recovery work has been carried out and conveyor was commissioned on Feb 28, 2011.
"Depreciation of plant is a risk for any enterprise that's why under the implementation of program of improving technical condition of the station under the order of the thermal power station the project institute carried out technical examination of bearing fabricated metals and work on their reconstruction began. On the basis of the report of the technical examination design estimates contract with Stalmontazh company was signed. From August, 2011 to Jan, 2012 big amount of work was carried out including full reconstruction of 5/3 conveyor, supplying coal storehouse and work on strengthening posts of bearings on 3/2 B and 5/1 conveyors," the enterprise said.
