Expressions of interest announced for Namahvan HPP construction in Georgia

Cascade Namahvan HPPs JSC, a subsidiary of Oil and Gas Corporation of Georgia, is calling for expressions of interest in the engineering, procurement and maintenance of the hydroelectric power plant. This company has been established to build Namahvan hydroelectric power plant.

One of the main criteria for selection of applicants for the tender is successful experience in similar large-scale construction (construction of the hydroelectric reservoir with a capacity of 200 MW or more).

To participate in the tender, the companies should submit their own requirements for personnel, financial condition and other parameters. Companies will need to fill in the preliminary form, which will be provided to them free of charge in PDF format.

The applying companies must submit these forms no later than April 2 to the office of Cascade Namahvan HPPs JSC in Tbilisi, Kakheti highway street 21. Documents submitted late will not be considered.

Cascade Namahvan HPPs is constructed over the Rioni River in the west of Georgia. Its capacity is 450 megawatts. Cascade unites three HPPs - 100 megawatt Tvishi HPP, 250-megawatt Namahvan HPP and 100-megawatt Zhoneti HPP. There will also be built transmission lines to transmit electricity.

The total investment for construction is $800 million, the construction period - 5 years.
