Russian gas supply to Armenia temporarily suspended
Georgia, Tbilisi, Feb 20/ Trend N. Kirtzkhalia/
Russian gas supplies to Armenia via Georgia have been temporarily suspended, the Georgian Oil and Gas Corporation (GOGC) told Trend on Monday.
An accident on a 61-kilometer gas pipeline in Gardabani resulted in the decision to cease supplies, GOGC reported.
The repair works have started already. Energy Minister Alexander Khetaguri and the GOGC head Zurab Janjgava are on the scene.
The interruption has not created gas difficulties for Georgia.
One more day is required to resolve the issue, he added.
