In Georgia, it will be possible to export mixed, compounded petroleum products. The corresponding change is made to the Law On Oil and Gas.
Under current law, oil refining unity means only those processes that involve processing of crude oil to produce petroleum products. Compounding of petroleum products entering into commercial operation of internal processing will also be considered as oil refinery in accordance with the project, if the resulting products will is exported from the territory of Georgia.
"The aim of the project is to determine the definition and regulation of mixed mineral oil tax in Georgia, that promotes the export potential of the country using the existing base of the country," said in an explanatory letter to the draft of the changes.
