SOCAR sells over 190,000 tons of oil products in Georgia in first half-year

In the first half-year, the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) sold 195,8400 tons of oil on the Georgian market compared to about 83,730 tons in the first quarter of this year, SOCAR Energy Georgia, which represents interests of SOCAR in Georgia told Trend on Tuesday.

According to the report, about 61,100 tons from the total volume of oil products sold in Georgia, accounted for gasoline, 120,160 tons - diesel fuel, bitumen - 9,920 tons, liquefied gas - about 4,700 tons.

In 2011 SOCAR sold 451,330 tons of oil products on the Georgian market. In 2010 the figure was 442,000 tons.

SOCAR Energy Georgia deals with sales of oil products in Georgia. The company represents SOCAR's interests in this country and has several subsidiaries.
In 2009, SOCAR sold 406,000 tons of various kinds of oil products on the Georgian market.

At present, there are over 90 gas stations under SOCAR brand through Georgia.

The country produces oil products at the two Baku oil refineries with a total capacity of 20 million tons of oil per year. Both oil refineries are owned by SOCAR, which annually processes about 6-7 million tons of oil from the Azerbaijani offshore and onshore fields.
