Kazakhstan decreases oil production

The oil and gas condensate production amounted to about 6.33 million tons in Kazakhstan in September 2012, of which nearly six million tons fell to oil. The remaining 329,600 tons fell to the gas condensate, the Kazakh Statistics Agency said today.

A total volume of oil and gas condensate in Kazakhstan amounted to 52.36 million tons in January-August this year.

The oil and gas condensate production decreased by 1.7 percent compared to the same period in 2011. During this period there was a decline in oil production by 1.9 percent, while gas condensate increased by 1.6 percent.

The volume of oil and gas condensate production increased by 6.7 percent compared to August. Oil production increased by 8.2 percent, while gas condensate production dropped by 14.5 percent.

Average daily production of oil and gas condensate in September amounted to 210,800 tons, including oil - 199,800 tons and gas condensate - 10,900 tons.

As of September 1, the exploitation fund of the oil and gas companies' wells of the republic was 19,193 units, including the operating fund of wells - 17,061 units. In September, the number of commissioned new wells was 132 units.
