In January-October, the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) oil pipeline transported 25.09 million tons of Azerbaijani oil compared to 27.91 million tons in the same period of 2011, SOCAR's report says today.
As of Nov. 1, 2012, some 200.87 million tons of oil have been transported through the pipeline during the whole period of its operation.
Over 32.2 million tons of Azerbaijani oil has been transported through BTC in 2011 compared 37 million tons in 2010.
As of Jan.-Nov., 2012, around 24.44 million tons of Azerbaijani oil have been supplied to the world markets from Ceyhan.
As of Nov. 1, 2012, around 198.46 million tons of Azerbaijani oil have been supplied from Ceyhan to the world markets during the whole period of its operation.
The BТС's total length is 1.768 kilometers including a 443-kilometer section running via Azerbaijan, a 249-kilometer section traversing Georgia and a 1.076-kilometer section passing through Turkey. The pipeline's construction began in April 2003. First oil was marked May 18, 2005.
