"It is planned that China will build the pipeline Kazakhstan-Kyrgyzstan - China, through which the supply of oil will be carried out, including to the refinery of SOCAR," Akeneev said.

The parties' have the intention to build a refinery, however, technical issues that should be discussed at a meeting on the subject, still remain unresolved, he said.

Trilateral meeting of representatives of Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan on the implementation of the project is expected, however, the timing of it is unknown.

The agreement on SOCAR's refinery construction in Kyrgyzstan was reached by the parties on January 19 at a meeting of Kyrgyz President Almazbek Atambayev and SOCAR president Rovnag Abdullayev.
