The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) exported 411,340 tons of oil via the Baku-Novorossiysk oil pipeline in January-March compared to about 497,000 in January-March 2012, SOCAR said on Tuesday.
In 2012 SOCAR exported 2.06 million tons of oil via the Baku-Novorossiysk pipeline compared to 1.99 million tons in 2011.
According to the report, in March 159,600 tons of oil was exported from Novorossiysk compared to 164,020 tons in March 2012.
SOCAR tranships oil from its own fields and from joint ventures and companies operating in Azerbaijan, through Novorossiysk.
Azerbaijan International Operating Company (AIOC) became the operator of the Baku-Novorossiysk pipeline till late 2007. It then transferred these functions to SOCAR.
