Baku’s energy operator bought over 1.6bn kW hours of electricity in Jan.-Feb.

The Bakielektrikshebeke Company (sale and distribution of electricity in Baku) bought 1.67 billion kilowatt hours of electricity from Azerenergy (production and distribution of electricity in the Azerbaijani regions) in January-February 2013, Bakielektrikshebeke told Trend on Monday.

In 2012 Bakielektrikshebeke received 8.55 billion kilowatt hours of electricity compared to about 8.21 billion in 2011. In 2010, the purchased electricity volume totalled 7.92 billion kilowatt hours.

Bakielektrikshebeke paid for 93.55 per cent of electricity supplied by Azerenergy in January-February 2013. It also paid 93.6 per cent of electricity supplied by Azerenergy in 2012 compared to 92.2 per cent in 2011. In 2010 the figure was 96.2 per cent.
