Kazakh Oil Ministry lowers forecast for oil and gas production

Kazakh Oil and Gas Ministry lowered forecast for oil, gas production and oil refining in 2013-2015, Kazakh media reported with the reference to a governmental decree.

According to the Oil and Gas Ministry's updated strategic plan for 2011-2015, Kazakhstan will produce 40.5 billion cubic meters of gas in 2013, 41 billion meters cubic meters of gas in 2014 and 45 billion cubic meters of gas in 2015.

Earlier the Ministry forecasted gas production at 52.9 billion cubic meters in 2013, 55.8 billion cubic meters in 2014 and 59.3 billion cubic meters in 2015.

Natural gas production hit 40.3 billion cubic meters in 2012 (a 1.8-percent increase compared to 2011 results).

Oil and condensate production is expected to reach 82 million tones in 2013, 83 million tons in 2014 and 90 million tons in 2013.

Earlier oil and gas condensate production was forecasted at 83 million tons in 2013, 85 million tons in 2014 and 95 million tons in 2015.

Kazakhstan produced 79.211 million tons of oil and gas condensate in 2012 (a 1.1-percent decrease compared to 2011).

Oil processing is forecasted at 14.4 million tons in 2013, 14.65 million tons in 2014 and 15 million tons in 2015.

Earlier Kazakh Oil and Gas Ministry forecasted domestic oil processing at 14.2 million tons in 2013, 15.1 million tons in 2014 and 17.5 million tons in 2015.

In 2012 Kazakh oil refineries processed 14.2 million tones (a 3.6-percent increase compared to 2011.
