The prices on petroleum products are not expected to be increased in Kazakhstan by late 2014, Kazakh National Economy Minister Yerbolat Dossayev said at a briefing in the Central Communication Service Oct. 9.
"In particular, we resolved the problem with oil products," he said. "The prices are not expected to be increased this year."
The Kazakh National Economy Ministry reported about the increase in maximum petrol prices on August 21. As a result, the cost of AI 92/93 gasoline increased by 13 tenge - from 115 tenge to 128 tenge per liter. However, this increase did not solve the issue of gasoline shortage in the country.
