The volume of investments made in Azerbaijan's oil and gas sector in January-March 2016 stood at 2.25 billion manats, or 47 percent more than in the same period in 2015, said a report from the country's State Statistical Committee.
The total volume of capital investments in Azerbaijan's industrial sector stood at 2.31 billion manats in the first quarter of 2016, or 36.7 percent more than in January-March 2015.
During the reporting period, 2.26 billion manats of these funds were invested in the mining industry, or 47.7 percent less than in January-March 2015.
Investments in production, distribution and supply of electricity, gas and heat totaled 27.2 million manats in the first quarter of 2016, or 2 percent less than in the same period in 2015.
