Azerbaijan’s power plants generated 20.557 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity in January-November 2018, that is 1.2 percent less than in the same period of 2017, Trend reports referring to a report of the State Statistics Committee.
The report says that 19.68 billion kilowatt hours of the total electricity generated in January-November 2018 accounted for commercial electricity, which is 1 percent less than in January-November 2017.
Thermal power plants generated 18 billion kilowatt hours of total commercial electricity in January-November 2018, which is equal with the same period of 2017.
Azerbaijan’s hydro-power plants generated 1.6 billion kilowatt hours of commercial electricity in January-November 2018, that is 9.6 percent less than in January-November 2017.
Wind farms produced 11.3 million kilowatt hours of electricity (29.4-percent decrease), while solar power plants generated 38.3 million kilowatt hours of electricity (30.9-percent-decrease) in the period.
