The quality of gasoline produced by Iran's Bandar Abbas Oil Refinery will rise to the euro standard by the end of the current Iranian year (started March 21, 2018), Hashem Namvar, CEO of Iran's Bandar Abbas Oil Refining Company, told Shana News Agency, Trend reports.

Namvar said that a project for improving the quality of products of the Bandar Abbas Oil Refinery will be launched, adding that, along with an improvement in quality, the production will also increase.

"With the launch of the oil and gas hydrogen filtration facility, 15 million liters of diesel, complying with the Euro 4 standard, will be produced per day," he said.

Namvar pointed out that the petrol production at the Bandar Abbas Oil Refinery has risen from 8 million liters to 12 million liters a day.

"Within the project framework, facilities for the filtration of diesel hydrogen, sour water and amine gas, along with those for electricity generation, nitrogen production, light oil isomerization, and 17 product warehouses have been prepared for exploitation," he said.

There are 9 major facilities envisaged for the expansion of Iran's Bandar Abbas Petrochemical Plant.

With the launch of the project, petrol production will increase by 3 million liters a day. Some 70 percent of the gasoline produced by the plant (8 million liters) will comply with the Euro 4 standard.

With roughly 350,000 barrels of crude oil and gas condensates processed daily, the Bandar Abbas Petrochemical Plant ranks third among Iran’s oil refineries in terms of volume. The company also has a special platform for purchasing crude oil and exporting its products.
