Russian company agrees on development of three oilfields in Uzbekistan

The Head of Russian company Zarubezhneft JSC Sergey Kudryashov submitted a report to Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev on the status of cooperation between the Company and Uzbekneftegaz JSC under the projects of enhanced oil recovery at the brownfields in Ferghana valley, Trend reports via Uzbek Media.

The meeting was also attended by Uzbek Minister of Energy of Uzbekistan Alisher Sultanov and the Head of Uzbekneftegaz JSC Bakhodir Sidikov.

During the meeting parties have discussed the issues of further cooperation between Russian and Uzbek companies in the framework of performing works at the active oilfields South Alamyshik, Khartum and East Khartum where Zarubezhneft plans on increasing the output by using own front-end technologies for development management and modern oilfield equipment.

Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev praised the prospective cooperation between Zarubezhneft JSC and Uzbekneftegaz JSC. In the nearest time the parties shall proceed with the establishment of a joint venture as well as with the preparation of an agreement for the purpose of operating at these fields.

Kudryashov noted that this project shall be the first one in Uzbekistan for Zarubezhneft, and the parties count on further expansion of cooperation.

Currently, operating in Uzbekistan is one of the priority area of activities for Zarubezhneft JSC, and the attention from the country leaders increases the significance of this project both in the framework of partner relations of two companies and in the framework of Russian-Uzbek cooperation in general.
