Gas condensate production of Iran’s South Pars Gas Complex (SPGC) increased by over 9 million barrels last Iranian year (started March 21, 2018) compared to the previous year, said SPGC Managing Director Hadi Hashemzadeh Farhang, Trend reports referring to the SPGC website.

He said that gas condensate is one of the main products of the SPGC. This product is one of the main fuel sources of oil refineries in the Persian Gulf Star Oil Company (PGSOC), he added.

Iran has reached self-sufficiency in the production of gasoline and diesel fuel by transporting SPGC gas condensate to the PGSOC.

The South Pars/North Dome field is the world’s biggest gas field shared by Iran and Qatar in the Persian Gulf.
