Baku, Azerbaijan, April 12

By Fakhri Vakilov – Trend:

Starting from today, a new order for the export of petroleum products from Russia to Kazakhstan comes into force, Trend reports via Russian media.

The new procedure for the export of petroleum products will make changes to the intergovernmental agreement concluded in 2010 between Russia and Kazakhstan.

The energy ministries of both countries will determine the lists of petroleum products that are prohibited for export from Russia to Kazakhstan and for export from the territory of Kazakhstan outside the customs territory of the Eurasian Economic Union.

Such a list has already been compiled in Russia and is undergoing inter-departmental approval.

Ministry of Energy of Russia states that the agreement will help simplifying the regulation of the oil and oil products market between Russia and Kazakhstan and will remove a number of restrictions for Russian companies.

Moreover, it is specifically stipulated that the implementation of the agreement should not hamper the activities of the Baikonur complex and the supply for humanitarian purposes from the territory of Kazakhstan.
