Amount of oil supplies to Turkmenistan's major refineries disclosed

In January-April 2019, over 2.023 million tons of crude oil were supplied to refineries in Turkmenistan's Turkmenbashi and Seydi cities, Trend reports via "Neutral Turkmenistan" newspaper.

This is 67,500 tons more than the planned amount for this period.

In general, these two refineries processed over 2.013 million tons of oil, which is 97,000 tons more than the volume stipulated by the production program of the reporting period.

Most of the deliveries, 1.858 million tons of crude oil, were directed to the oil refinery in Turkmenbashi, which is the country's largest. This amount exceeded the planned supply volume by 73,000 tons. At the same time, the volume of refined oil was 1.849 million tons, which is 75,000 tons more than the planned volume for the reported period.

Turkmenistan plans to increase the capacity of the oil refining industry to 20 million tons of oil by 2020, to 22 million tons by 2025, to 30 million tons by 2030.

The country produces annually about 10 million tons of oil at the present stage, a significant part of which is processed at local enterprises.
