The compressed natural gas (CNG) will increase in price in Iran on May 22, 2019, the National Iranian Oil Products Distribution Company said.
Each kilogram of CNG will cost 6,568 rials ($0.15 according to the official exchange rate and $0.04 according to the exchange rate in the black market) from May 22, Trend reports referring to the National Iranian Oil Products Distribution Company’s website.
So far, CNG costs 6,000 rials, the company said, adding that the price increase will be below 10 percent.
The revenues to be obtained as a result of the price increase will be used to improve the safety of the filling stations and install equipment, the company said.
