The construction of Surakhani HS01 ship-museum is being completed, with its opening scheduled for the next month, a source involved in the project told Trend.
The museum on a ship is being built by the order of Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping CJSC.
“Surakhani ship was designed on the basis of an old tanker with three superstructures. Expositions, which are to be organized in its tanks, superstructures and cabins, will reflect the history of shipping and oil production in the Caspian Sea and tell about ports, Baku shipyards, and the past, present and future of maritime Azerbaijan,” the source said.
The museum on a ship will be a good addition to other places open to visitors interested in the history of oil production in Azerbaijan.
