According to the chairman of the government of Adjara, Tornike Rizhvadze, full gas supply of Adjara should be completed by next year, Trend reports with reference to the Georgia Online News site.
The Georgia Gas Transportation Company carries out work in 23 villages of four municipalities of Adjara. After the design work is completed, the procedures necessary for construction of a gas network will begin. As a result, some 4,000 subscribers will be provided with gas.
“It is very a important project. We were in municipalities where pre-project works will begin. According to our plan, we have to complete fully gas supply of Adjara within the next year," said Tornike Rizhvadze.
The gas supply project in Adjara has already been implemented in the municipalities of Khelvachauri, Keda and Shuakhevi. As for the second stage of the project, taking into account technical difficulties and the duration of the preparatory work in the high-mountainous Adjara, it was decided that a gas pipeline would be connected to the high-mountainous Adjara in the direction of the Goderdzi resort.
