Iranian oil minister Bijan Zangeneh has indicated the oil sale, trades and foreign currency transfer in current situation is more difficult than during Iran-Iraq war in 1980-1988.

"In regards to oil sale, trade transaction and transferring foreign currency, the current situation is harder than in the war time," he said, Trend reports citing ISNA.

"In the time of war, we could export oil, while today, we can not sell any oil under the name of Iran. Thus, there are problems in foreign currency transfer," he stated during a meeting at Industrial Management Institute.

"Today we not only face difficulty in oil sale, but we also can not return the money from oil sale in case we manage to sale it. Moreover, there are also problems in trading oil products," he added.

"We are taking all efforts to overcome the current situations. If the domestic issues are addressed, the international problems will be solved as well," he said.
