Kazakh oil refining plant to increase benzol export to Russia

Starting from June 2019 Atyrau oil refining plant is to increase volume of benzol export to Russia to 6,000-7,000 tons a month, Trend reports with reference to Kazakh media.

“The plant on average exported 2,200 tons of benzol a month during the period of January-May 2019. The June increase of export volume will lead to increase of competitiveness on the Russian market,” the report said.

“Atyrau oil refining plant manufactured 4,200 tons of benzol during May, which is record breaking. This volume became possible due to launch of third section on Paramax installation for benzol and paraxylol manufacturing,” the statement said.

“Furthermore, the export volume to Russia increased by 5,800 tons during last five months and amounted to 10,900 tons,” the report said.

Currently, there are three major oil refining plants in Kazakh cities Aturay, Pavlodar and Shymkent. Recently, Trend reported on plans of Kazakhstan to launch construction of fourth oil refining plant.
