Kazakh pipeline construction 50% done

As of July 1, 2019, the welding of a half of the linear part of Saryarka pipeline (508 kilometers) is finished, Trend reports with reference to KazStroyService press office.

The project includes construction of one gas measuring and five gas distributing stations, installation of 40 crane units, seven pig receivers, over 200 kilometers of high-voltage transmission lines, two warehouses for storing emergency pipes, and over 60 kilometers of access roads.

The current speed of the welding work is record-breaking for Kazakhstan. Thus, using four CRC Evans enhanced welding complexes allows to wild 720 joints or 8.5 kilometers a day. This technology helps to significantly decrease the construction time. For the most part, the work is being carried out by local specialists.

KazStroyService attracted 2,190 employees for the project. It is estimated that during the peak of the construction work (July-August), the number of working personnel will amount up to 4,000 people.

KazStroyService is working on the construction of the Saryarka pipeline since the beginning of the year. The project to provide gas supplies to the capital and regions of the country was initiated by Nursultan Nazarbayev, the first President of Kazakhstan.

Total length of the pipeline connecting Kyzylorda - Zhezqazghan – Karaganda – Temirtau – Nur-Sultan is 1.061 kilometers. The diameter of the pipeline is 820 millimeter. The wielding work of the linear part of the pipeline is to be finished in October, 2019.
