On July 22, electricity consumption in Iran reached 57,681 megawatts, Iranian Energy Ministry Spokesman Mostafa Rajabi Mashhadi said, Trend reports with reference to the energy ministry’s website.
He said that a new record in Iran’s electricity consumption has been achieved.
He added that compared to July 21, electricity consumption increased by 1,200 megawatts July 22.
“At the peak period July 22, all electricity exchanges in Iran totaled about 1,334 megawatts,” he said.
He added that 1,264 megawatts of this figure were related to exports and 70 megawatts were related to imports.
He said that the reserves of power plants have reached 775 megawatts, and the electricity consumption of industrial facilities reached 3,961 megawatts on July 22.
He added that Iran’s previous electricity consumption record was about 57,097 megawatts on June 27.
