Iran will produce 750 million cubic meters of gas daily beginning from next Iranian year (March 21, 2020), Iranian oil minister Bijan Zangeneh said.
Gas production from Iran's joint gas fields has greatly increased over the past six years, Zangeneh added, Trend reports referring to the Young Journalists Club.
He added that for example, gas production in the West Karoon field increased by five times, while in the South Pars field – by 2.3 times.
There is gas flare on a number of joint oil and gas fields in Iran, Zangeneh said.
Taking into account the investments, there will be no gas flare in the fields during the next 2-3 years, he said.
The Iranian minister said that the amount of the investments was more than $6 billion.
