Oil production in Iran-Iraq joint Azar field will increase by 30,000 barrels daily by the end of this Iranian year (March 21, 2020), said Touraj Dehghani, CEO at Iran’s Petroleum Engineering and Development Company (PEDEC), Trend reports referring to the company’s website.
Thus, oil production at this joint oil field will reach 65,000 barrels daily, he said.
He noted that the development of the oil field began nearly two years ago and made it possible to produce considerable volumes of oil.
Dehghani added that approximately 18 wells have been drilled at the Azar field and these wells are ready for production.
