Trend:

Iran's average daily liquid fuel consumption is 800 million cubic meters, which is a big figure, it indicates the high level of energy consumption, said the Managing Director of the National Iranian Oil Refining and Distribution Company Alireza Sadeghabadi, Trend reports via IRNA.

"There should be discussion between organizations to identify environmental capacities of fuel combustion in big cities and more planning on how vehicles and industries consume fuel," he said.

The official indicated that high volume of energy consumption in industries, transport, plants and trade sectors, is irregular.

"Around 1.5 million public transportation vehicles are to be moved to gas consumption system in next 12 to 15 months," he said.

"The implementation of this plan would create short term employment in CNG industry and save some $1.8 billion for the country," he added.

"The policy making should be based on combustion rate, the limited sources should be managed and in terms of fuel the combustion capacities should be managed in every city," he said.
