The Iranian Mercantile Exchange sold 1.81 million tons of products worth more than 76 trillion rials (about $500 million according to SANA exchange rate) in the last month (March 20-April 19, 2020), said Trend reports citing Iran's Mercantile Exchange.
According to the report, as many as 1.31 million tons of products worth 40.9 trillion rials (about $269 million according to SANA) were sold in the oil and petrochemical products section of the Mercantile Exchange.
More than 376,000 tons of bitumen, 170,000 tons of polymeric products, 83,600 tons of chemicals, 3,200 tons of slaps wax and 458,000 tons of vacuum bottom were sold in this section.
As reported, 860 tons of moisture-resistant coating, 3,620 tons of base oil, 85,500 tons of sulfur and 135,000 tons of lube cut oil also were sold in this section.
As many as 485,400 tons of products worth 35.5 trillion rials (about $233 million) were sold in the industrial and mining sector of Mercantile Exchange.
"Some 466,800 tons of various steel products, 11,700 tons of copper, 300 tons of molybdenum concentrate, 5,000 tons of aluminum, 420 tons of zinc ingots, 100 tons of lead and 1,000 tons of coke were sold in this section," the report said.
