Iran's chemical, petrochemical industry increases production

Nearly 54.5 million tons of chemical and petrochemical products were produced in Iran in the last Iranian year (from March 21, 2019 to March 20, 2020), Trend reports citing Iran's Ministry of Industry, Mines and Trade.

According to the report, production increased by 1.8 percent compared to the preceding Iranian year (from March 21, 2018 to March 21, 2019).

More than 4.8 million tons of polyethylene were produced in last year, which is an increase of 8.6 percent compared on an annualized basis.
