Iran Esfahan Oil Refining CEO talks company's activity in energy sector

Iran's Esfahan Oil Refining Company (EORC) provides more than 20 percent of Iran's oil products for energy security in the oil sector, said the CEO of EORC Morteza Ebrahimi, Trend reports citing the company’s official website.

According to Ebrahimi, EORC is increasing the production and quality of oil products in accordance with world standards. Thus, with the implementation of various projects next year (starting from March 21, 2021), this company will become one of the leading companies as far as production of Iranian oil products.

Ebrahimi added that at present, the company's daily oil refining capacity average is 375,000 barrels. With the commissioning of liquefied gas and processing phase No. 3, this potential has been divided between 3 processing units.

He went on to add that the service life of the equipment, production and repair costs have decreased.

Ebrahimi said that at the same time, with the commissioning of this phase, the company's processing capacity has decreased from 375,000 barrels per day to 360,000 barrels.

Ebrahimi said that with the commissioning of phase No. 3, the company's fuel oil production decreased, in return, the production of valuable products such as gasoline, kerosene, jet fuel and diesel has increased.

"However, if necessary, the company's plant can increase refining by about 60,000-70,000 barrels per day by using two additional plants," he said.

Iran's Isfahan Oil Refining Company (EORC) was established in 1979. The company's refinery produces about 12 million liters of gasoline per day accordance with the standard Euro 5, 2 million liters of diesel in accordance with the standards of Euro 4 and 5. With the commissioning of the company's diesel filtration plant in the current Iranian year (starting March 20, 2020) the company will produced 22 million liters of diesel daily in accordance with the euro 5 standard.
