BP’s associated gas deliveries to SOCAR in last decade

The volume of associated gas deliveries by BP to Azerbaijan’s state oil company SOCAR from Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli (ACG) block of oil fields in the first quarter of 2020 averaged at 7.9 million cubic metres per day (0.7 billion cubic metres in total), primarily at the Sangachal Terminal but also to SOCAR’s Oil Rocks facility, Trend reports.

This is while as of entire 2019, this figure stood at only 5.7 million cubic metres per day (2.1 billion cubic metres in total).

In 2018, ACG delivered an average of about 6.4 million cubic metres per day of ACG associated gas to SOCAR (2.3 billion cubic metres in total), as compared to 7.9 million cubic metres per day (2.9 billion cubic metres in total) in 2017.

The associated gas deliveries of ACG to SOCAR totaled 7.5 million cubic metres per day (2.75 billion cubic metres in total) in 2016, or 1.4 million cubic metres per day lower than in 2015, when these volumes totaled 3.2 billion cubic metres.

In 2014, ACG delivered an average of 7.55 million cubic metres per day of ACG associated gas to SOCAR (2.76 billion cubic metres in total), compared to 6 million cubic metres (212 million standard cubic feet) per day (2.19 billion cubic metres or 77.4 billion cubic feet in total).

In 2011, BP delivered around 9.1 million cubic metres (about 320.2 million standard cubic feet) per day of ACG associated gas to SOCAR. This is while in 2010, this figure equaled to 4 million cubic metres (about 332 million standard cubic feet) per day.
