Sales of Iran's Ghadeer Petrochemical Company increases

The sales of the Iranian Ghadeer Petrochemical Company increased by 61 percent over the first three months of the current Iranian year (March 20-June 20, 2020) compared to the same period last Iranian year, said head of Ghadeer Petrochemical Company Abbas Karimi told the official website of the National Petrochemical Company, Trend reports.

Karimi noted that the value of company's sales amounted to 2.73 trillion rials (about $65.1 million) during the reporting period.

Karimi added that while in the same period last Iranian year, the value of company's sales was 1.7 trillion rials (about $40.5 million).

"The company's net revenues in the three months amounted to 940 billion rials (about $22.3 million). However, the net revenues of company were 349 billion rials ($8.31 million) in the same period last Iranian year. This shows that the company's revenues have tripled,” he said.

The official emphasized that Ghadeer Petrochemical Company can produce 150,000 tons of Vinyl Chloride Monomer (VCM) and 120,000 tons of Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) per year. These products are used in pipe, hose, electrical cable covers and so on.

According to him, the company's fuel is chlorine and ethylene. Ethylene is supplied via an ethylene pipeline in western Iran and chlorine is supplied via the Arvand Petrochemical Company.

"If the company meets domestic needs, its products can be exported. These products can be exported to neighboring countries and CIS countries," he said.
