Oil price projected to increase in Georgia

BAKU, Azerbaijan, Sept.8

By Tamilla Mammadova – Trend:

August's oil price increase in Georgia is not final and projected to rise in the nearest months, Trend reports via the Union of Oil Importers of Georgia.

The reason for the forecast is the situation in the world market, the union reports.

The organization says that after the partial defeat of the novel coronavirus pandemic and gradual restoration of the economy, the oil price rises worldwide and influences Georgia.

Meanwhile, the regular type fuel costs about 1.79 -1.81 laris (58-59 cents) at non-branded petrol stations, while the price is 1.97 – 2.06 laris (64-67 cents) at branded gas stations.

In August 2020, the oil price increased by 40-50 tetris (13-16 cents) at non-branded gas stations and 20-25 tetris (6-8 cents) at branded stations.
