Natural gas supplied to village of Khulo of Georgian Adjara

The village of Khulo of Georgia's Adjara region has joined the country's national gas network, Trend reports via Georgian media.

The event dedicated to this was attended by Chairman of the Adjara government Tornike Rizhvadze, Mayor of the Khulo municipality Vakhtang Beridze and representatives of SOCAR Georgia.

Rizhvadze pointed out that all the families of the mountainous village will receive natural gas.

According to him, the main part of the construction of a modern gas pipeline with a length of 121 km within the framework of a large-scale project for gas supply of Adjara in the section from Salibauri to the Goderdzi pass has already been completed.

As part of the project, at the beginning of this year, gas was supplied to the Goderdzi ski resort, said Rizhvadze.

According to Rizhvadze, within the framework of the gas supply project in Adjara, 300 people were employed.

The construction is being carried out by Energy Invest 2009 LLC.
