The Vice President of Acwa Power Company in Saudi Arabia visited the site of the future new combined cycle power plant in the Syrdarya region of Uzbekistan, Trend reports referring to the press service of the Syrdarya region’s administration.
The governor of the Bayaut district of the Syrdarya region, senator Dilfuza Uralova received the vice-president of Acwa Power Tom Teerlynck and the regional director of the company for finance Soumendru Raut.
The parties discussed all issues related to the joint project for the construction of a combined cycle power plant, the delivery of the necessary equipment and machinery.
Also, the forces and means that will be involved in construction work, training of personnel for servicing the new facility after its commissioning have been discussed.
The company representatives also stressed that they intend to provide compensation to legal entities and individuals who previously used the territory transferred for the construction of the station.
The governor of the Bayaut region Dilfuza Uralova noted that as a representative of the local authorities she is ready to provide any practical assistance in the construction of a combined cycle power plant and that all possibilities will be used to create the necessary conditions.
Teerlynck, in turn, expressed a desire to participate in the implementation of this project, fully observing all the established rules and regulations.
