Iran is ready to participate in the restoration of the water and electricity sector in the liberated territories of Azerbaijan, Iranian Energy Minister Reza Ardakanian said, Trend reports citing Ministry of Energy of Iran.
He made the remark after a meeting with Azerbaijani Deputy Prime Minister Shahin Mustafayev.
According to Ardakanian, a lot of Iranian companies are ready to offer their services in this regard.
Ardakanian added that the two countries have various cooperation in the area of water and electricity.
The minister emphasized that discussions are underway on the joint use of Khudafarin and Giz Galasi hydro junctions.
“In addition, the talks were conducted between the two countries on extending the energy exchange,” he said.
The minister noted that it was decided that Iran's electricity supplying through Azerbaijan would be synchronized with Russia's supplying. The three countries will work together in this direction.
