The Shurtan Oil and Gas Production Department in Uzbekistan has reconstructed and repaired the air-assisted gas cooling unit at the Bateman compressor station, Trend reports referring to Uzbekneftegaz JSC.

Due to the fact that the air-assisted gas cooling unit of the Bateman compressor station has been in operation for a long time, the sections were replaced due to a decrease in the efficiency of gas transmission from the regulation indicators.

A section of the gas cooling unit with the help of air No. AX-031 was dismantled at the station and underwent retraining at the Uzbekkhimmash Plant JSC in Chirchik city. The section brought from the plant was successfully installed and put into operation in a short time by specialists of the Shurtan Oil and Gas Production Department.

As a result, a gas cooling unit with the help of air was prepared at the station, which ensured uninterrupted operation and prevented a decrease in natural gas production.

Bateman compressor station is located in the Guzar district of the Kashkadarya region and has four gas-pumping units. The design capacity amounts to 13 billion cubic meters of natural gas per year. In 2003, gas-pumping units manufactured by the American companies Dresser-Rand and General Electric were installed and put into operation at the station.

Uzbekneftegaz is a state-owned holding company and the largest state company in Uzbekistan. The company ranks 11th in the world's natural gas production.

At the beginning of 2020, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev instructed Uzbekneftegaz to thoroughly analyze each field it is operating and ensure the increase in gas production.

Earlier it was reported that it is planned to put into operation five production facilities of Uzbekneftegaz worth $4.1 million within the framework of the State Investment Program.
