Uzbekneftegaz intends to produce 33.9 billion cubic meters of natural gas, 1.4 million tons of gas condensate and 109,000 tons of oil this year, Trend reports with reference to the press service of Uzbekneftegaz.
The mentioned issue was discussed during a meeting with the participation of heads of enterprises for the production and processing of natural gas, departments, plants and oil depots under the leadership of the chairman of the board of Uzbekneftegaz Mehriddin Abdullayev.
According to Uzbekneftegaz, this year the task was set to increase reserves by 35 billion cubic meters of natural gas and 900,000 tons of gas condensate, implement investments for $985 million, ensure the export of polyethylene, liquefied gas, petroleum products, gold and services for $391 million, produce localized products by 3.1 trillion soums ($297 million), as well as to reduce imports by $272.7 million.
In addition, Abdullaev instructed to produce 278,000 tons of liquefied gas at the Mubarek gas processing plant by the end of 2021 by revising technological regimes and observing regulatory requirements.
For uninterrupted supply of the population with liquefied gas, the task was set to produce 176,000 tons of liquefied gas by completing and commissioning the automation of instrumentation in the Shurtan oil and gas production department, and at the Gazli gas processing plant to produce 73,300 tons of liquefied gas by the end of the year.
Also, it was instructed to introduce a system of key performance indicators (KPI) in the direction of implementation of transformational reforms, international financial reporting standards (IFRS), complete work on international certification of the anti-corruption compliance system, develop a policy and strategy for personnel.
It was noted that over 60 billion cubic meters of gas are produced annually in Uzbekistan, of which 35-40 billion are produced by Uzbekneftegaz.
Furthermore, gas production in the country for 10M2020 fell by about 9.6 billion cubic meters. Some 40.4 billion cubic meters of gas were produced last year from January through October, and 50.1 billion cubic meters in the same period in 2019.
